What happened

Solo high pull from a Cessna Caravan at 14,000 ft. Earlier that day he had told staff he felt unwell (chest and throat soreness). He was seen unresponsive on his back in freefall and did not deploy; he had no AAD. USPA classifies this as a medical problem.

Lessons for safety

Do not jump when feeling unwell. An AAD can save a jumper who becomes incapacitated.
