What happened
Exited an aircraft at approximately 4,000 metres and encountered a reported problem with his main parachute during the descent.
According to comments attributed to the drop zone's director and reported by RAI News, the main canopy had opened abnormally. Millari continued flying it toward the landing area. During the final approach, at an estimated height of around three metres, the canopy reportedly failed to provide sufficient support during the landing flare, and he struck the ground.
After the impact, skydiver reportedly stood up briefly before lying down again. People at the scene began resuscitation with guidance from emergency medical services. He was transported by helicopter to the CTO hospital in Turin, where he died.
