Canopy collision

Two jumpers collide under open canopies, often in the landing pattern or after opening close together. Separation on exit, a predictable landing pattern and constant awareness of other canopies are the main defences. SFL has recorded 9 fatalities in this category since 2022.

Newest first. Records are compiled from public sources and many are still being verified.
